Hey, welcome to Mission Hills. Before we get into the message today, I just wanted to take a minute to just praise God for something he did last weekend. How many of you're here for Easter services this past weekend? Yeah. I was praying for something this past Easter. I didn't really tell anybody I was praying for it, but I was praying that God would allow us to see more people say yes to Jesus for the first time than we had ever seen before.
And that was a big ask. And I think part of the reason I didn't tell anybody was back in 2020, y'all remember 2020? Like I did, I just give you PTSD. I'm sorry. That was a bad time, right? We, when we first shut the doors with the whole pandemic, we were like, yeah, but we'll be open by Easter.
Come on. And then Easter came and we're like, we are not open. And yet God did an amazing thing. And on Easter of 2020 through our online services, we saw 128 people say yes to Jesus for the first time. It was an amazing thing, right? And I remember at the time going, all right, just 'cause the doors are closed doesn't mean the gospel is contained right.
But I, I was praying that actually this past Easter, we would see more than that. And it seemed like a big ask. It was like 120. That's a crazy number. I was like, how about 129 Jesus, or 30. This past weekend we saw 395 people. Yeah.
Yeah, it was just an incredible thing to be part of. And 209 people said, I'm not ready to say yes to Jesus, but I wanna put myself in a position to get a little bit more proof. And so they asked for that book to be sent, and thousands of people asked for the resource that we created for Christians to experience power from the resurrection.
And I just, I'm just so grateful for that. I just wanna take a moment to praise God for it. So we just join me in prayer. Hey, God, thank you. Just thank you for those people who've made that decision, thank you for ...
