So that was Carolina’s story. Carolina works with one of our global outreach partners in Argentina. And what I love about Carolina's story is that it's a story of a woman who found her confidence even before there was a change in her circumstance. And that's really what this series that we're in is all about.

It's about living with certainty, even in uncertain circumstances. And today I wanna talk to you about the role of hope in that, and specifically today, I wannatalk to you about the difference between hoping for something and hoping in something. Because they're actually very different things and if we get it wrong, we're gonna have problems.

Okay. There, there's a huge difference between hoping that something happens because it'll be really nice if it does, and hoping that something happens. 'causeI don't know what I'm gonna do if it doesn't. You see what I'm saying? When clut and I had been married about a year, we went on our first vacation apart from the honeymoon and we went camping in Rocky Mountain National Park.

And we were camping there and we were setting up our tent. It was a tent that we got from her parents, and I think they got it from Gold Rush miners. 'cause it was this ancient thing. It weighed like 7,000 pounds. It required an engineering degree to get it set up. And I remember as we were setting it up, I was watching and there was some dark gray clouds rolling in.

And I remember going, I, I hope that the storm holds off. I hope it doesn't rain on us. But I was hoping for that because at the end of the day, once we got this tent up, it wasn't going anywhere. Like it could have handled a hurricane. No problem. I would've trusted this tent over my house.

Honestly, this thing was heavy duty. Okay? So I was hoping for it not to rain. I was hoping for the storm to hold up, but it didn't really matter. That much of it didn't. Now, fast forw ...
