The man was immaculately dressed. Fitted out more for the Ritz than the street. But in the street he lay dressed in black tail suit, patent leather shoes, top hat and bow tie, and very dead.
'How did he get here?' asked Patrolman Muldoon. 'He threw himself off the roof,' said a bystander. 'Does anyone know the man?' said Muldoon. 'I do,' said Barrie Quinn. 'What religion is he?' asked the policeman. 'Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim?' 'None at all,' said Quinn. 'He's an atheist!' 'What a shame,' said Muldoon. 'All dressed up and nowhere to go!'
Introduction:
We are studying the Gospel of Christ as seen through the eyes of John the Apostle. We left Jesus facing the High Priest of the Jews who name was Caiaphas! He and His Father-in-Law Annas are getting nowhere with Jesus, and someone in the crowd even steps forward and slaps Jesus for answering the High Priest rightly! Now they will introduce Him to the Romans, and they will carry Jesus to Pilate to see if He will allow them to kill Jesus. With that in mind, let us jump into the Story and see what will happened next!

28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the Passover.
Now the Jews lead Jesus away from their own kangaroo court to the court of Pilate, the Roman ruler whom they hoped would denounce Jesus as a traitor and put Him to death! Jesus has been slapped across the face just for saying that His works and the people can testify that He is the Messiah, and now the Jews do not know what to do with Him, other than turn Him over to the Romans who alone had the power of capital punishment!
This was the Roman headquarters, the barracks (also in John 18:33). As a dwelling place of Gentiles it was unclean. Thus the Jewish authorities would not enter, ...
