Text: John 1:46-51 - NIV
(46) "Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?" Nathanael asked. "Come and see," said Philip.
Last week
In last week's sermon titled "Gone Fishing," we explored the call to evangelism through Matthew 4:17-20 and Acts 1:8. Jesus' invitation to Simon Peter and Andrew to become "fishers of men" symbolizes our duty as Christians to spread the Gospel. The sermon emphasized that evangelism is a divine call often given amidst our daily tasks, highlighting the necessity of an immediate and active response to God's call. Drawing parallels from biblical figures, Pastor Jesus conveyed that our effectiveness in evangelism depends on our willingness to follow Christ and trust in His provision and power. The message concluded with a challenge to the congregation to engage in evangelism, underlining the power of the Holy Spirit and the importance of sharing personal testimonies to bring others to faith.
