So I wanna talk to you today about an indispensable ability that you need to have if you're gonna live a life you love. By the way, if you're new with us, that's the series we're in right now. We're in a series called How to Live a Life You Love, because in spite of the vibe that some Christians give off, and you know who I'm talking about, the Bible actually says, God wants you to love your life.
Is that good news for anybody? Can we make some noise? If it's good news that God wants you to love your life and the Bible tells us how to do it, it's often surprising. But the Bible actually gives us a lot of very practical instruction on how to live a life that we love. And today I wanna talk to you about an indispensable ability.
The Bible says you're gonna have to have if you wanna love your life now. Now the bad news is. If you don't have this ability, you're never gonna love your life. No matter what you have in your life, no matter how much you accumulate, you're never gonna be able to appreciate it without this particular ability.
That's the bad news. The worst news is that nobody's born with this ability. It's not natural. Babies don't have it, and it doesn't just happen over time. We have to be very deliberate about kinda learning, acquiring this particular skill. And then the worst news, and I know you're like, we're only two minutes in.
You've already gone from bad to worst, right? It's gonna get better. But the worst news is we actually live in a world that is actively working against us learning this ability. Okay? The good news is that it's an ability anybody can learn with God's help. Okay? So even if you don't have it right now, it is absolutely possible with God's help for you to develop this ability and experience the life that God wants you to live because of it.
