Just so you know, this was never my plan. Okay. Preacher? Not my plan, pastor. Not my plan. If you wanna know what my plan was, like I remember the first time when I was like five or six, somebody said, Hey, what do you wanna be when you grow up? You wanna know what my first plan was? Ninja. Anybody else?

That was your first plan, really? Yeah. It just as well, it turns out there are not a lot of openings in the modern world for ninjas. So I had to let that one go. My, my second plan was fighter pilot, gonna fly F 15 fighter jets. That was my second plan. And then I got nearsighted where I could see up close, but I couldn't see far.

And apparently seeing far away is important to fighter jet pilots with access to weaponry. I don't know. So my, my third plan was a quantum physicist, and then I took calculus. And find out. I hated calculus and apparently that's important to quantum physics. So my fourth plan was rockstar. I was walking with Jesus now though, so it was Christian rockstar.

I applied everywhere. Nobody was hiring Christian rock stars.

And then God gave me a job as a youth pastor. That was not the plan, but I was like, this is not a bad plan. I'll do this. And I became one of those youth pastors. I was like, I'm not gonna be like all the other youth pastors that it's just a stepping stone to something else. So youth pastors, they do it for a few years, then they become lead pastors.

That's not gonna be me. I'm gonna do this my whole life. That's the plan. And so I actually came out to Denver Seminary and I did a Master's of Divinity in Youth and Family Ministry. And then I took my fancy youth ministry degree and I did youth ministry for a year. And then I got invited to, to start teaching at the seminary.

And I was like, okay, that's the plan. I think we're on Plan five, maybe six now. I'll be a seminary professor. And then God led us to start a nonpro ...
