So I woke up this week with a chest cold. Anybody else? It is the season, right? Yeah. I'm frustrated. 'cause I was really looking forward to to this message and my, my voice, my energy level's not quite what I was expecting. Spirit's willing, flesh is weak. You know that phrase. That's how I'm feeling right now.

I guess it's okay. 'cause that's actually what I wanna talk to you about. I wanna talk to you about winning the war between the flesh and the spirit. It's funny, I think the last time I preached on this last year, I was preaching about not relying on our own strength. And the same thing happened to me. I can't decide if that means God really wants us to get this, or the devil really wants to make sure that we don't.

I'm not sure which one it is, but you better pay attention 'cause I think this is important. I wanna talk to you about winning the war between the flesh and the spirit. Let's just go ahead and dive in. Why don't you grab a Bible? We're gonna be in Galatians chapter five, certain verse 16, Galatians five 16.

He apostle Pauls writing to the church in Galatian. He says this. He says, and so I say, walk by the spirit. And you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. He says, walk by the spirit and you won't gratify the desires of the flesh. By the way, I dunno if you know this, but in Greek there's two different words for walk.

They have two very different kinds of walking because it, so one of 'em, one word in Greek is just for walking around. It's just not going anywhere in particular, just walking around, just doing life. And then there's another word for walk that really is it's purpose oriented.

It's I'm going from here and I'm going to the temple, or I'm going from home, but I'm going to church. It's a very purposeful kind of walking, and so I just, I wonder, what do you think when Paul says, walk by the spir ...
