Title: Beyond Our Expectations
Author: Craig Smith
Text: John 6:1-13

You got Matthew, you got Mark, you got Luke, and you got John. And they got plenty of material to choose from.
And they're all telling the story from different angles. And so they emphasize different aspects, but there's one miracle that all four of them record. Which they didn't have to do, right? And then Luke came along and was like mark already did this and Matthew did this so I can do this. Then John came along, he's mark did this and Matthew did this, and Luke did this, and so that gives me freedom to do this. And yet all four of them, even though they knew that was happening, all four of them included this one particular miracle.
It's almost like they said, you really can't understand this thing we call the gospel. The good news about Jesus Christ. If you don't know about this thing that he did, so I wanna talk to you about that thing that he did. And so if you wanna follow along, we're gonna be in John chapter six today, and as we walk our way through this story, what I want you to be asking yourselves is this, I.
What is it about this story that reveals the heart of God? What is it about God's heart that comes out in the story, and what does that mean for me? That's the question I want you to be asking as we're working our way through this story. John six one says Now, sometime after this, Jesus crossed to the far sea, the far shore of the Sea of Galilee.
That is the sea of Tiberius. Actually, I'm gonna stop there for just a quick second. It is interesting. He says it's the Sea of Galilee, but then he gives an alternate name the Sea of Galilee. And it's interes ...
