Text: Mark 4:35-41

-*It was August of 2017 and we had a big project at the Perdue house. Our family had saved over a few years to build a pole barn over an existing concrete slab on our property. Do you know what a pole barn is? Basically, it's just large poles with a roof for shelter. I bought the materials and hosted what might have looked like an old-fashioned barn raising. We have 10-15 people helping, don't worry, we had some skilled labor too! And we built that barn in just a few days. It was a lot of work but it was a labor of love. I was so proud! It was like the dream had become a reality. For years I had wanted to do something spectacular on top of that concrete slab and there it was. A thing of beauty. All that hard work, planning, preparation, and commitment was gone in just a few moments. Now, those of you who have been out to my house know that we have since rebuilt the pole barn. But this time, I called the insurance company after the storm and had someone else do it!*
