Title: The Love of Money (1)
Series: God & Money-What the Bible Says about Managing Money
Author: Jeff Schreve
Text: 1 Timothy 6:7-10

And so, we want to talk today as we kick off this series, about one of the most famous verses in the Bible, First Timothy chapter 6, that speaks about money and our attitude toward money.

But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." The love of money!
You know, when we talk about greed, the last of the Ten Commandments, "You shall not covet your neighbor's house, your neighbor's spouse, anything that belongs to your neighbor." That's this desire for more and more. I want what you have. The love of money. We typically think that's somebody else's problem, right? I mean, we're not the greedy person. It's ...
