Summary: Mary is given assurance Christ has indeed risen from the grave as a result of her
faithfulness to follow him all the days of her life out of her gratitude for being delivered from her past. If we are truly thankful for what God has done in our life, we will follow him the rest of our life.

How thankful to God are you for your salvation?

How much do you love Jesus because he died for you to be forgiven of your sins? Do you love him with all your heart?

Mary Magdalene - was from town of Magdala which was the largest of the 10 towns on the west side of the sea of Galilee.

It was three miles north of Tiberias and a prosperous fishing
town as it was a center for processing salted fish.

In Hebrew Magdala meant "tower" and may have referred to
the structures on which fish were hung to dry in the sun.

She is mentioned 14 times in the four gospel accounts.

Jesus had cast out seven demons out of her (Lk. 8:2). She may have been an epileptic as it was commonly attributed to demon possession. As a result of being delivered, she along with other women helped to support Jesus and his disciples (Lk. 8:3).
