- We are studying the Gospel of Mark together on Sunday mornings in a
sermon series called, A Journey With Jesus. Find your Bible and open to Mark 15. I told you last week that the previous chapter in Mark signifies a turning point in the gospel. Jesus has concluded His public ministry and now is headed toward the cross.
- We have seen the betrayal and denial of Jesus. We have seen His rejection before the religious leaders. Now, in these verses, we see Jesus On Trial. Get the scene in your mind: It is early Friday morning. Our Lord has been betrayed, abandoned, interrogated, beaten, spit on, and denied throughout the night with no rest. He will soon be beaten nearly to death by Roman scourging (15:15) and crucified. He will die around 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon (15:33-37).1 READ TEXT
- *So, in my humble opinion, there's one television show that stands alone as the best television show ever. My wife disagrees with me. And as far as I can remember, my wife has been wrong about one thing and one thing only during our entire marriage. And it's this.
