INTRODUCTION

Take your Bibles tonight and turn with me to Galatians Chapter 1. We're in a series of sermons through the book of Galatians - the letter that Paul sent, as he says in verse 1, "To the churches of Galatia..." - entitled, "No Other Gospel."

Overview of the Book of Galatians:

- The writer is the Apostle Paul.

- Authorship - There is no doubt that Paul wrote it.

- Authority - "apostle"

- Associates - "all the brethren with me"

- Audience - "the churches of Galatia"

- The focus is the person of Jesus Christ.

- Titles - "Lord Jesus Christ"

- Nature - He is the eternal, only-begotten, and all-together unique Son of God.

- Sacrifice - "He gave Himself for our sins."

- Resurrection - "who raised Him from the dead." (Paul saw the resurrected Jesus.)

- The greeting is grace and peace.

- The purpose is the glory of God.

Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. 11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the Gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ."
