Introduction
1. If you're not a Christian, if you've been thinking about these questions, this will sound familiar with you. First question is, is there a God? Is there really a God who made all things, or is everything here because of chance? Was Jesus really a man? Did he really live and do miracles and die on the cross? Did he rise from the dead as he claimed? Is this really the word of God, or is it just any other religious text like so many others that exist in our world? Is there life after death, or at the end of our last breath do we just return to our state that we were before we were born into utter nothingness? What's my purpose in life? All these sorts of existential questions have been asked all throughout human history.

2. Do you remember when you first asked those types of questions? I remember when I was about 6 years old and asking those questions. I grew up to believe in God. My family was a Christian family, but I was having my own questions. I remember going out into the woods and getting on the ground. There were some sticks, and I put two sticks next to each other and said, "God, if you're real, when I come back tomorrow, make these sticks cross over each other." So I went home. Back the next day, the sticks were still parallel to one another. They weren't crossed over.

3. So I said, "Okay, I'll cross them, God, and all you got to do is just uncross them by tomorrow." The next day came out, and they were still crossed. This was a challenge for my little brain to think through who God is. I didn't realize that I was testing God, which actually God says not to do in his word. He says, "Don't test the Lord your God. Do not put the Lord your God to the test." And I was putting him to the test, but it was just little sticks. I mean, how big of a deal is that? So I didn't think it was that big of a deal.
